Rooted in the Spirit...
Growing In Faith...
Reaching Out In Love...
Do you have a desire to sing? Can you play an instrument? Trinity offers several choir and musical
opportunities to share your talents.
Traditional Choir programs:
Trinity Lutheran Church (TLC) Choir is a group of experienced chancel choir singers who read music and sing in
parts. The experience of these singers is evident by the beauty and variety of the anthems they present at the
Traditional Worship service. The TLC Choir sings music of a variety of classical styles and also contemporary
church music from "Cantatas" and musical Christian "Dramas." It provides special music for nearly every Sunday
Traditional Worship service, except during the summer months. Rehearsals are Thursdays at 7 p.m.
Trinity Lutheran Church (TLC) Songsingers is made up of people who just love to sing! This vocal group has less
knowledge of music than that of the TLC Choir, and sings in unison, two, and three parts. Some members are at the
beginning level of music note reading, learning "by ear." New members are always welcome, both women and men,
forming a men's ensemble, or a mixed choral group. The group presents the SisterSong, an established ladies
choral group that started several years ago singing Gospel and other contemporary music. They contribute to the
services about once a month, joining the TLC Choir for larger works on special occasions. Rehearsals are each
Thursdays at 6 p.m.
Handbell Choir is an established choir of dedicated ringers. Several ringers bring a lot of experience to the choir
and at least one can ring solo bell pieces. Ringing the bells is rewarding and very fun for anyone with a sense of
rhythm in music and they are relatively easy to learn. This group presents pieces at worship services about once a
month. Rehearsals are Tuesdays at 6 p.m.
Children's Music Program - Make a Joyful Noise: All children K-8 are invivted to this fun, education group which
meets each Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in the Luther Room. This is a fun way for the kids to
express themselves in song, play rhythm instruments, and receive music instruction. There is opportunity to play
chimes and/or small bells. We prepare music to present at the 10:30 a.m. worship service about once a month.
Programs led by Randy Dawkins:
Praise Team is a worship band that leads the 10:30 a.m. contemporary worship each
Sunday. Our goal is to lead, uplift and bring worshippers closer to God through contemporary worship songs.
Rehearsals are Thursdays at 7:00 p.m.
Praise the Lord with the lyre; make melody to him with the harp of ten strings. Sing to him a new song; play
skillfully on the strings, with loud shouts. Psalm 33: 2-3 NRSV
